Sunday, August 31, 2014

This post is truly dedicated to the students staying in hostels and preparing for JEE.(Especially to the students in South)

I know about the kind of food which we get served in hostel as i was also an hosteler in my 11th and 12th, and i know it sucks. Agree?

But my dear friends if you do well in your JEE and come to KGP, i can guarantee that you will love the food here.

I'll show you few pics of the food which we get.

Don't worry about the less number of paneer pieces, it is just that i already ate them. :p

And if you are intelligent and good at buttering you can easily get more of ice cream and gulabjamun, rasgulla and other sweets. :)

RAJMA!!

As  i am a vegetarian, I don't have the pictures of Non veg stuff.

But, Yeah you will get an egg every morning with bread and butter, and they serve fish almost every day in the lunch and chicken twice a week.

What about snacks?

Yes, it is true.!!

I don't have pictures of the rest but we do get Paties, Sandwich, Chowmin, Cutlet,  Packed Cake, Little Hearts <3, JIM-JAM.!! :p

A guy sells milk in my floor too in night, so if you have got some work to be done at night and on  a night out, you will seriously enjoy it!

It is just few of the lots of things which we get served just  in mess.!!!!, and you know about the fees of IIT right? Lot lesser than those of the coaching institutes.

When you go outside your hostel.

Yes, we have got CCD here and we get Brownie for Rs. 30!!
Subway will be coming here within a month.
There are many restaurants and Dhabhas out here but i want you people to work hard, get in here and explore things by yourself! ;)

Canteens in Seniors hostels are Ultra Cheap!!

You get a burger double the size of McDonalds in Rs.15!!
Sandwich at Rs.15 and don't know why they serve two Sandwiches and charge just for one!!

Few funny things!

These guys have store side by side and it is not easy to decide to choose between them as both are at pitching about the quality of there Nariyal Pani! and in between them it's not a partition there is one more guy with another shop and is absent today:). Truly they are very friendly and make sure that you enjoy your drink!

Guess, Why danger is return?

It's the Tavva at the top. See, how caring they are.. :p

And that's how you feel when you come to know that the Government is paying for all the subsidy you are getting here.Just to keep you happy and fit. :)

Hope you people enjoyed and study harder to come here and experience all this stuff everyday!!
All the best!!

A feedback to D3labs

Saturday, August 23, 2014
Those 7 hours which i have spent inside the hall, with my friends and the people from D3labs were simply awesome.

I came to know so many new things like blogging which i am currently doing and enjoying a lot. :)
All the types of hacking taught were so enjoyable and would love to try them on my own. The facts which i learned about Facebook, Narendra Modi and Google were awesome. Few of the most fantastic one was that google sells our data and earn from it, Narendra Modi hiring Ethical Hackers to remove Anti-Modi pages was stunning to listen. Proving a bottle a computer just caught me. The lack of security on Whatsapp was also stunning, but now atleast i know about it. :p

All thanx to Mr. Prameel Arjun, Hope i get a chance to see you again in future.

Why to study hard just to get into IIT?

Saturday, August 23, 2014
This must be one of the question in the mind of many students around the country working very hard to crack JEE.

Simple, It deserves it.

Proof?

I am telling this from my personal experience that the best word that describes IIT is "OPPORTUNITY".
It has just been a month since i have started my journey in IIT KGP and i have explored a lot many fields. One of the best thing about this place is the culture of "SOCIETIES".

Now, What kind of societies are they?

It is a group of Student which simply enjoy in their field of interest.

There are societies of almost all the fields and if you are creative and efficient you can make your own too!!

But already there are so many societies that you just share your interest with any senior and you will find yourself as Aladin and IIT as Genie. They'll get almost everything to you. There will be a lot of opportunities and you just have to make best out of it.

Let it be Dance, Dramatics(Hindi, English, Telugu..), Playing Instruments, Singing, Robotics, Coding, Hacking, Product Designing, App Developing, Car Designing, Advertising, Marketing or any other Sport or Game. You'll find it!!

There are seminars conducted on every field almost everyday and they will be so interesting that you may miss your dinner but you will always try attending them all.

As every societies conduct there own way of selection, it also help student get rid of stage fear and also helps them get new freiends by conducting Group Discussions, I enjoyed mine a lot in Aiesec.

New Entrepreneurs are popping out of our college every year with great success.
There are many more stuff, it is just that i can't remember all.

Currently, The Students at Kgp are going to conduct a Treasure Hunt over a Campus having an area of 2200 acres!! Which lasts over 5 hours! You can feel the thrill right?

You can take my example, I always felt that i can just study and was fit for nothing else, but after coming here and after giving interviews of many societies, i came to know that i could be a good product designer and thus i am in team called Prodex which designs new stuff which can be used for Domestic Purpose. I am also in AIESEC (people may google it, if they don't know about it) and came to know a lot about marketing skills and what i can do using them. Within a month of starting of the college, I am organizing an event conducted by D3Labs on Ethical Hacking and Blogging who in return taught me how to create a blog and much more thus, gave me an opportunity to explore more about myself! and let you people know more about IIT through me!

And remember these all happened just in a month, i don't know what more is left to come!!

I guess this would be enough to get the student motivated to work hard and come into IIT and live a similar life.
All the best..
